In her youth, Suzie Hawkins went hiking, fishing and camping with her Dad in the beautiful Yampa Valley, and learned to love her native Colorado.
Suzie began her entrepreneurial journey at the early age of 20. She bought and renovated a series of houses in Denver. Due to her unprecedented success, she was able to expand and buy a motel in Manitou Springs, which she then managed for six years. In 1996 Suzie purchased another hotel in Steamboat Springs and also operated it successfully for another five years.
Suzie’s entrepreneurial spirit led her into then achieving her Realtor license, so she could not only share her knowledge and love of Colorado, but help others achieve their dream of the rewards of property ownership in such a beautiful place.
Suzie is well known in the Steamboat Springs community for her dedication. A very active member of the community, her current service includes Rotary, including housing International Exchange Students. Lift Up of Routt County has benefited greatly from her organizational skills and fundraising talents. Suzie is also a member of the Routt County Historical Preservation Society, the Ski Corporation Contribution Committee and an active member of her church.
